Sports and physically
active individuals have a higher FFM than sedentary individuals,
regardless of gender. Females
however carry more fat than males in the
same sport. As we know physically active and sports individuals have
greater
bone mineral content, bone density and skeletal muscle mass.
Regular exercise results in moderate weight loss and body fat with small
gains in Fat Free Mass. The change in body
composition depends on type and
intensity of exercise, as well as the frequency and duration. |
